SV Meppen has secured the second championship title in the NGL Pro Club Premiership, while the Emslanders defeated SV Stuttgarter Kickers in the Grand Final.
SV Meppen has secured the Premiership title in FIFA 21’s 11vs11 mode.
Due to the strong play-offs of the Swabians, who had defeated defending champions FC Carl Zeiss Jena, among others, the balance of power in the run-up to the Grand Final of the 2021 season was rather unclear. A clear favorite role could not be assigned to the Meppenern despite the sovereign relay victory in the Red Division, the best-of-5 format promised great excitement.
However, the SVM did not allow this to occur, the Emsländer set the tone in the opening game and prevailed 2-0. After another 2-0 in match two, Meppen was only one victory away from the championship title, the Stuttgart had problems, especially on the offensive – the upgradable evaluation of chances prevented a closer final series.
SVM is the new record champion
Due to various exuberant opportunities on the part of the South Germans, the more effective and clearer Meppener also made the third game quite clear, in the end it was even 3-0. The SVM won the championship in a fast run after the minimum number of final matches, for the blue-whites it is already the second title win in the NGL Pro Club Premiership after the 2020 season.
As the record champions, Meppen thus draws level with FK Austria Wien, which won the first two seasons of the largest Pro Club league for registered clubs in the DACH region.
The NGL Pro Club Premiership has completed its fifth season, SV Meppen replaces FC Carl Zeiss Jena as the title holder. The coming season 2021/22 will open in late autumn, the SVM will start as a hunted for the second time. It is now up to the rest of the league to make good use of the break and to make defending the title as difficult as possible for the champion in the coming season.
