This morning there was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale with an epicenter 5 kilometers north of the Jujuy town of Catua (Susques department), in the Puna region, near the border with Salta.
Sources from the provincial government and the National Institute for Seismic Prevention (Inpres) reported that no material damage was reported.
In accordance with the provisions of the national body, through its website, the earthquake reached a depth of 245 kilometers and occurred at 2.18.
Registered to 180 kilometers west of San Salvador de Jujuy and 196 kilometers northwest of the city of Salta, detailed the Inpres.
