The first trailer for the new Home Alone shows a familiar face

Disney and Fox released the first trailer for Home Sweet Home Alone, a new edition of the classic from the nineties that in some places became known as My poor angel, which shows some references to the original tape.

The first thing to note is the obvious: the script revolves around a child who is left home alone by mistake, while his parents believe that he is on board the plane that takes them on vacation. In this edition, the place to vacation will be the city of Tokyo, in Japan.

The protagonist of this new version will be played by Archie Yates and, as in the classic film – and the less remarkable ones that came later – he will have to face a couple of thieves who want to enter his house to rob it. The novelty is that the thieves are a married couple played by Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney, which apparently is the first time they have committed a crime.

In the trailer you can see some of the accidents that this pair will suffer, which although they are not exactly the same as the first Home Alone, they look as much or more painful than the first ones.

Now, an important detail is in the police officer that appears on the screen. The McCallister surname is revealed on his uniform and the actor who plays him is Devin Ratray, known for his role as Buzz – Kevin’s older brother – in the original film.

Home Sweet Home Alone It will be exclusive to Disney Plus and its premiere is scheduled for November 12, 2021.
