New Volkswagen Tiguan, first interior photos

Expected between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024, the new generation of volkswagen tiguan continues its tests with different mules on public roads, showing – although partially – its new lines. Today, however, we will no longer talk about the exterior, but about the interior of the German SUV.

Thanks to a new series of spy photos, we have a first glimpse of the interior of the new Tiguan, crossed by our photographers during a series of tests on the roads of the Alps.

Lots of new technologies

Even though it’s still shrouded in tarpaulins and camouflage, the dashboard of the new Volkswagen Tiguan shows off an all-new interior. In particular, we can see a new cap encompassing the dashboard and, above all, a large central screen cantilevered. Below the screen appear physical controls for the climate control, while the steering wheel appears to have a new shape.

In general, the new generation of Volkswagen Tiguan will bring with it many innovations in terms of technology and style, on the one hand in line with what we have seen on the rest of the range (the Golf especially), and on the other hand with completely new solutions. The novelties in the cabin will also concern materials, upholstery and new choices of color combinations.

Bigger and still thermal

Externally, there are no new features compared to previous observations. The mules of the Volkswagen Tiguan continue to hide with decals and panels that disguise the true shape of the car, as shown in our exclusive render. For example, the front of Volkswagen’s compact SUV features a fake chrome grille, while the two C-shaped inserts in the bumpers appear to be real and vaguely resemble those of the ID.4.

Seen from the side, the Tiguan looks longer than the current model, while at the rear it’s almost impossible to make out the details given the numerous stickers.

As for the engines, the Tiguan will be equipped with engines essence and diesel updated to meet Euro 7 standards. Mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains may be available at launch, while an electric version is not currently planned.
