With the fifth and final season of F Is for Family, which goes online today on Netflix, the cartoon comedy by Bill Burr reaches the year 1974 in terms of plot. Frank ponders a message from his father.

This Thursday, November 25th, the Netflx series F Is for Family goes into its fifth and final season.

The animated series arrives in late 1974 this season. Frank is made to think about a cryptic message from his father, Sue tries to solve the difficulties within the family and Vic throws himself into parenthood. New guest speakers are: Neil Patrick Harris as Louis, Patti LuPone as Nora Murphy and Fred Melamed as Dr. Goldman.

In 2015 the story started about a typical American family in the 1970s. Bill Burr created the series with the help of Michael Price, who was previously involved in The Simpsons. Burr himself took over the speaking role of Patriarch Frank. Also in the ensemble: Laura Dern (Big Little Lies), Justin Long (New Girl), Sam Rockwell (Fosse / Verdon), Haley Reinhart (“American Idol“), Mo Collins („MADtv“, Parks and Recreation, Fear the Walking Dead) und Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul).
