The first phase of the Under-20 Women’s Brasileirão ended last Saturday (14th), and the last spots were defined for the next stage of the tournament. The highlight so far was the São Paulo team, the only one to qualify with 100% success in the six games played.
Owner of the best attack in the first phase of the Brazilian Under-20 Women’s Football Championship, with 43 goals scored, São Paulo has the two top scorers of the competition so far: Isa and Eduarda who scored six goals each and helped the tricolor pass in first place in Group A, with the best campaign of the tournament overall.
But the highlight of the São Paulo team wasn’t just the attack. The defense was also very efficient and closed the first phase with only one goal conceded, in the duel against Atlético Goianiense.

The six champions of each group and the two best runners-up overall passed the stage.
Group A – Minas Brasília (DF)
In addition to São Paulo, Minas Brasília also made it through the Group A phase. The club from the Federal District had the second best campaign among all the runners-up in each group (it was tied in the number of points with Fluminense, but surpassed it with one more victory).
Minas Brasília obtained four victories and two defeats (both against São Paulo) in the first phase of the U-20 women’s Brasileirão. The team’s top scorer in the competition is Leticia, with five goals.

Sao Paulo – 18 points
Minas Brasilia – 12 points
Atletico Goianiense – 4 points
Cuiabá – 1 point
Group B – Corinthians (SP)
‘Timão’ continues to be one of the most outstanding teams in women’s football. And it was no different in the first phase of the Under-20 Women’s Brasileirão. The São Paulo team ended the first phase undefeated, winning four games and drawing two (both against Kindermann-SC)
Despite not having stood out as much in the offensive sector, Corinthians ended the first phase without conceding a goal. The team’s top scorer so far is Ellen, with two goals scored.
Group B classification
Corinthians – 14 points
Kindermann – 9 points
Youth – 6 points
Botafogo PB – 3 points
Group C – Railway (SP)
Another powerhouse in national women’s football, Ferroviária ended the first phase of the U-20 women’s Brasileirão with five wins and one draw (against Fortaleza), adding 16 points in total.
Rhaissa Oliveira, Natalia and Raissa Lima share the artillery in the Ferroviária team. Each player has scored two goals so far.
Group C Classification
Railway – 16 points
Atletico Mineiro – 9 points
Stronghold – 7 points
Vasco da Gama – 1 point

Group D – Grêmio (RS) and Internacional (RS)
The Gre-Nal duo advanced to the second phase of the U-20 Women’s Brasileirão. Grêmio took first place in Group D, winning five wins and a draw. Already its rival, Internacional, passed the stage as the best second place overall, with 13 points (four wins, one draw and one defeat).
Both Grêmio and Inter stood out in the offensive sector and have some of the athletes who scored the most goals in the tournament so far. The tricolor side has Luany as top scorer, with five goals. The Colorado team has Kamile and Milena, each with five goals scored.
Group D classification
Guild – 16 points
International – 13 points
America FC – 6 points
Coritiba – 0 point
Group E – Flamengo
The red-black team from Rio de Janeiro was the best team in Group E and went through the phase with 14 points. There were four wins and two draws (both in the classic against Fluminense).
Flamengo has as top scorer Maria Peck, with five goals. In fact, the team from Rio de Janeiro had one of the best attacks of the first phase, with 24 goals scored. In defense, the red-black also did well, being one of the two teams to pass the stage without being leaked.
Fluminense fought until the end for the last spot for the next phase of the Under-20 Women’s Brasileirão (coming from the dispute between all the runners-up in all groups).
But the tricolor carioca was harmed by the draw with Flamengo in the last round, which left him at a disadvantage in relation to Minas Brasília, who had one more triumph.
Group E classification
Flamengo – 14 points
Fluminense – 12 points
Cresspom – 7 points
Goiás – 0 point
Group F – Santos
The only group champion to pass the stage without being undefeated, Santos advanced to the second stage of the Under-20 Women’s Brasileirão with 13 points, a campaign equal to Internacional, for example, classified as the best runner-up in the groups.
Isa Viana was the highlight of the Santos team, with four goals scored. ‘Peixe’ won four matches, drew one (against Botafogo from Rio de Janeiro) and lost one against Esmac Ananindeua, from Pará.
Group F classification
Santos – 13 points
Botafogo RJ – 9 points
Esmac Ananindeua – 6 points
Ceara – 3 points
The next phase of the Brazilian Under-20 Women’s Football Championship starts on May 23. There will be two groups with four teams. Each team will play three matches in this phase. The top two from each group advance to the semifinals.
