Red Bull, Verstappen stops criticism: “The relationship with Perez is good”

There are no problems between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. This was reported by the two-time champion, who ended up in the crosshairs of criticism for his lack of team play in the penultimate race of the season held last November 13 in Interlagos. The Dutchman himself wanted to distance himself from all those who don’t consider him a rider at the service of the team.

Our relationship is good – Verstappen told Viaplay – It’s actually the way it’s always been. What happened in Brazil? If I explained it, people would still not understand. They don’t understand what goes on behind the scenes during the season. People think I’m not a team player, but I’m very open”.

Verstappen also disavowed the hypothesis concerning different configurations between his car and that of Perez: “I always work for the GP on one configuration and usually the same on the other side of the box. In a team both cars have to go well”.
