Fortunately, I was able to tell Mauricio Gómez —many times— all that I have loved and admired him, instead of writing him, today or tomorrow, a public letter that he would not be able to read.

Very painful for Colombian journalism and for me the death of Mauricio Gómez. A great journalist, chronicler, a man of integrity and courage. I had the privilege of speaking with him on several occasions and hearing his vision of the country. To his family my greetings of solidarity. pic.twitter.com/T0P0JjQwKj

The journalist Mauricio Gómez did some great reports on the 24-hour Newscast about the Ochoa mafia and their horses in the early 1980s, that’s how I learned about him. His narration in the stories he investigated and revealed was always impeccable. Solidarity with his relatives.
