The RAM brand updates its Heavy Duty product line with the promise of offering more power, capabilities, handling, maneuverability, luxury, materials, innovation and technology in its segment.
this RAM Heavy Duty features a frame frame made of 98.5% high-strength steel, six separate cross members, hydroformed main rails and square-framed rear rails, the brand shared in a statement.
The exterior design is what draws the most attention of this monumental pickup, with halogen headlights in the work version and an LED lighting system with active front lighting system with up to 15 degrees of movement in the driving path.
On the other hand, for the SLT versions we will have 18-inch diameter wheels and 20-inch for the Limited version. It also incorporates the electric side steps with deep drawing pattern and the RAM logo. The trunk lid features remote release, a step to access the pan, and a 115-volt, 400-watt power outlet.
Among the versions and finishes, you can order the Night Edition version with black accents for the exterior and you can also order an optional Bighorn appearance package, 18-inch wheels and Sport stickers on the sides of the tray, among others.
Inside it is close to what we already know in the RAM 1500, having as a novelty the system integration Uconnect fifth generation on both the RAM 2500 HD SLT and Limited. In the SLT there is an 8.4-inch color screen and in the Limited it is 12 inches, with a Harman Kardon audio system that has 17 speakers and 750 watts. In terms of interior capacity, the Mega Cab cabs offer up to 258 liters of volume.
The engine is a 6.4-liter V8 with 410 HP and 429 pound-feet of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission (TorqueFlite). The suspension has responsive frequency dampers that automatically adjust based on the type of information provided by each wheel. Protection in handling and occupants is entrusted to more than 100 active and passive components, which highlights emergency braking, a camera with a 360-degree view, a high-strength structure that maximizes shock absorption and reduces the weight of the unit.
This pickup is proudly made in Mexico, in the assembly plant in Saltillo, Coahuila and it is for sale in our country with the RAM 2500 SLT versions at 1’049,900 pesos; 2500 SLT Bighorn Pack in 1 million 094 thousand 900 pesos; Limited at 1 million 449 thousand 900 pesos and the top of the range Limited Night Edition at 1 million 464 thousand 900 pesos.
