Brazil was represented in the round of 16 of the European Women’s Handball Cup this Friday (14th). For the first game of this stage of the competition, the Spaniard Elche, of the Brazilian goalkeeper Pamela Meira, ran over Maccabi Arazim, from Israel, winning by the quiet score of 34 to 16.
Elche was better from the start of the match, winning only the first half by 10 goals difference. The dominance followed the same in the second stage, with the difference ending in 18. Pamela Meira had a good performance in the Spanish goal, making 14 saves in 31 shots, with a 45.16% success rate.

With the result, Elche has an advantage in the search for a spot in the quarterfinals of the European Women’s Handball Cup. The return match of the confrontation takes place this Sunday, January 16, at 8 am (Brasilia time).
It is worth remembering that Pamela Meira’s team entered the second elimination phase of the competition. In this one, he faced Ka Thor and won the first game by 22 to 18, but ended up losing the second by 22 to 21. Even so, in aggregate, he managed to qualify for the round of 16.
