The Ministry of Health and Environment of Santa Cruz met with the Association of People with Diabetes (AsPeDi) with the aim of strengthen the actions carried out by the association and project the joint work in relation to territorial activities.
In this regard, the holder of the health portfolio, Claudio Garciawas working together with AsPeDi, in relation to the different actions and benefits offered by the association, where he valued the articulated work carried out together with the Río Gallegos Regional Hospital.
Meanwhile, he emphasized the projection of different actions in relation to the promotion of health, healthy habits, sedentary lifestyle, early diagnosis and control of diabetes and pointed out, “advance in the control of those people who have been diagnosed with diabetes and who require a much more exhaustive, continuous and active monitoring”.
In closing, he stated: “The idea is to work jointly between AsPeDi and ministry, territorial activities and also the possibility of opening association centers in other locations in the province to help local health systems in the management of patients with diabetes”.
The Minister of Health and Environment, Claudio García, and the president of AsPeDi, Andrea Lepio, participated in the meeting.
