Marcelo Ebrard confirms that there are no Mexicans among victims of shooting in Buffalo, New York

At least ten people died this Saturday and three others were injured – mostly black – in a shooting carried out by a young white man in a supermarket in the US city of Buffalo (New York), which will be investigated as a hate crime and a case of “racially motivated violent extremism”.

The Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard, confirmed through his social networks that no national was found among the victims.

“Our Consul in New York informs me that there is no national among the victims of this morning’s shooting. Our condolences to those affected by this terrible tragedy that, once again, puts on the table the urgent need to restrict the availability of weapons” .

In addition, he took the opportunity to point out the need to urgently restrict the availability of weapons in the country.

The United States has once again been shocked by another massacre, this time carried out by an 18-year-old white man who traveled heavily armed and protected with military equipment to a majority black neighborhood of Buffalo, in the extreme north of the state of New York, according to official information.
