In his first official visit as Minister of Productive Development of the Nation, Daniel Scioli assured today that the city has “huge potential” as a productive pole. “I see excellent prospects for Mar del Plata”, expressed in dialogue with LA CAPITAL.
The official unfolded this Thursday an intense agenda of activities in the city, which began with a visit to companies in the Industrial Park, accompanied by the Buenos Aires Minister of Production, August Costa, councilors from the Frente de Todos and the president of the Port Consortium, Gabriel Felicia, among other authorities.
Asked about his first steps at the head of the Ministry and the Mar del Plata scenario in the new agenda, Scioli said: “I have worked side by side with fishing and shipyards and we will continue to do so with all the companies that are of great importance in the local economy. We have reopened the Brazilian market and we are going to work with all sectors to give Mar del Plata a great boost beyond being a flagship of tourism in Argentina and a great productive pole. We are going to do it with the local economies, together with the Provincial Government, the Buenos Aires Ministry of Production and Governor Axel Kicillof”.
Immediately, the minister highlighted: “I see excellent prospects for Mar del Plata. We are going to promote exports and we are going to increase the installed productive capacity. We have a very large diversity, which is what the private sector needs.”
After being received by the president of the Industrial Park, Alberto Chevalier, the official undertook a tour of Ghion Laboratories, followed by another visit to the alfajores factory Havana, located within the same productive pole of Route 11 88.
“In every responsibility I have had, Mar del Plata has a very special place in my agenda”, Scioli remarked during the tour and added: “In this new responsibility I feel that there is much we can do together with the Minister of Production of the province, Augusto Costa, and Governor Axel Kicillof, with whom we met a few days ago and we have found coordination in productive development policies”.
After the tour, the minister will accompany Governor Axel Kicillof in the deed delivery ceremony at the Auditorium Theater.
