Fans Have a Major Complaint About Joker 2 After Lady Gaga Announces She’s Harley Quinn

Lady Gaga’s recent announcement that she will star in the next Joker: Madness for two sparked a major complaint from fans.

The “Poker Face” singer posted a teaser on social media yesterday, August 4, and the rumor mill has been on fire ever since.

Many people suggest the Joker the sequel could be a musical – and some fans are a little furious at the idea.

As far as the typical DC story goes, Quinn is Joker’s psychiatrist at the Arkham Asylum mental institution who falls in love with him and becomes his sidekick.

But will this relationship between Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix be musical?

Taking to social media, one fan wrote: “Remember when Joker came out and the mass hysteria surrounding it and how there was going to be shootings and explosions in theaters, but now the sequel is a musical with Lady Gaga. »

A second added: “I’m fine with musicals but in Joker? Maybe it’s just “funny” like in the first movie he dealt with insane mental issues and to the point of murdering dozens of people if he sings while doing it this time I’m not gonna be shocked or scared i will laugh tbh. ”

A third said: “A musical? Man, come on, it’s the fucking joker. »

Someone else also thought, “She’s a great singer and performer but not a good actress. In my opinion, it’s not a good choice to turn the film into a musical. What is the meaning of this? PS: I hate musicals.

Not everyone was so upset by the potential news, however, and music fans are apparently eagerly awaiting the idea for the new DC movie style.

One wrote: “I can’t believe the only way to get interested in a Joker The sequel would be to put Lady Gaga in and make a musical out of it, and then they did. »

Someone else also said, “People are crazy that the Joker the sequel is going to be a musical, but having a musical in the mind of a madman is a FIIIRE concept. »

Another added: “I can’t wait for all the people who took the first one so seriously to tweet rage about the movie. »

Without wanting to add fuel to the fire, it’s worth mentioning that director Todd Phillips, who signed on to helm the sequel, produced the critically acclaimed musical. A star is born, which also starred Lady Gaga. So he’s no stranger to making a hit film with lots of singing.

We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

The highly anticipated sequel will be released on October 4, 2024, five years after the original.
