Motorcyclist causes a pedestrian fracture, El Siglo de Torreón

A 57-year-old man suffered an exposed fracture in one of his legs after being hit by a motorcycle in the Nueva Laguna Norte neighborhood of the city of Torreón.

The accident occurred around 9:00 in the morning on Wednesday on Manuel Lombardi Street, between Carlos Salinas de Gortari Avenue and the Raúl López Sánchez peripheral.

The victim was identified as José de Jesús, 57 years old, who works as a watchman in a restaurant in the area.

It was reported that the man went out to dump the garbage together with other employees of the place and when they were walking down the road a motorcyclist ran over him.

The unit indicated as responsible is the white Honda brand, which was driven by 41-year-old Jesús Eduardo, who was traveling with his partner.

Immediately the presence of the rescue and security corporations of the city was requested by means of a telephone call to the state emergency 911 system.

Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the injured man, who presented an exposed fracture in one of his legs, for which he was transferred to Clinic 16 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) for medical evaluation.

The accident was made known to the personnel of the Department of Experts of the Municipal Court of Justice. The driver of the motorcycle was at the disposal of the investigating agent of the Public Ministry for the crime of injuries.

Finally, the unit was removed from the place with the help of a crane and deposited in a corral in the city for its protection.
