a fire affected an improvement that bordered on the Wulff Castle in Viña del Mar, property that was declared National hystoric monument.

Following the alert from the neighbors, the First and Second Fire Company of Viña del Mar moved to the place to control the flames that completely calcined the place where people lived on the street.

The Commander Gonzalo Román of the Viña del Mar Fire Department, indicated that when the companies arrived at the site of the event, there were no people in the building, so injured people were ruled out.

The place that currently did not have a roof or windows, was previously a fishing club that adjoined Wulff Castle. However, the national monument was not affected after the passage of the flames.

Fire in Tomas de Concón

In addition, another fire affected a intake ground in Concón, where one of the houses was completely destroyed by flames.

Although it is still not recognized who lived in the place, located near the sea in the Las Gaviotas sector, four fire companies mobilized to control its spread.

This was explained by the Second Lieutenant Miguel Acosta, of the Second Company of the Quintero Fire Department.

After the intense maneuvers that the personnel of two companies from Quintero and Viña del Mar had to carry out, due to the difficulties in accessing the place, the volunteers were finally able to control the emergency that had the risk of expanding to the rest of the houses.
