the directors reunite with a Wedding Nightmare actor in the cast

A new actor has joined the cast of the next Scream 6 and will find for the occasion the directors of Wedding Nightmare in which he starred.

Less than a month after the success of Scream at the global box office, Paramount and Spyglass have formalized the start of a sequel unofficially called Scream 6. As expected, the new heroines introduced in the previous film, stepsisters Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega), will be back in an attempt to evade one or more new masked killers. Other survivors of the fifth installment will also re-enlist, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, who play the twins Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin.

New part of Who is it?

In the absence of power once again bring back Neve Campbell’s Sydney Prescott (who declined the offer), the slasher will fish out Hayden Panettiere’s Kirby Reed presented in Scream 4, but absent from the previous opus. For his new series of murders, Scream 6 will also fill up with fresh flesh (among which one or more killers may already be hiding). For her part, Courteney Cox has not yet confirmed the return of her Gale Weathers, but said she received the script several months ago.

The actor Jack Champion, who we will soon see in Avatar: The Way of the Waterthus joined the cast alongside Liana Liberato (If I Stay), Devyn Nekoda, who was recently seen in Sneakerella, and Josh Segarra who will first join the MCU in the series she hulk. The cast has however raised its average age with the arrival of Henry Czerny (Sharp Objects, revenge)as reported by Deadline.

Henry Czerny: photoKiller? Partner in crime ? Victim ?

The actor is particularly known in the cinema for having played in the first Impossible mission and will resume his role in the next Mission: Impossible 7 – Dead Reckoning Part One and Mission: Impossible 8 – Dead Reckoning Part Two. This new role will also be the opportunity to meet directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett who he shot for in the horror movie Wedding Nightmare. For the moment, it is not known what the importance or the nature of his character will be, who clearly stands out from the rest of the cast.

Since production seems to be moving along at a good pace, an official synopsis and first previews should be shared soon. The theatrical release is still scheduled for March 29, 2023.
