This Thursday, August 4, Meghan Markle celebrated her 41st birthday. A birthday that the Duchess of Sussex spent in the United States, in privacy. But that hasn’t stopped some members of the royal family from sending her their best wishes on the special occasion.
Thus, Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a photo of the Duchess in an Instagram story wishing her a happy birthday. Particularly sober wishes which reflect the atmosphere which reigns today between the Cambridges and the Sussexes. Similarly, Prince Charles and Camilla also wished Meghan Markle her birthday by sharing the same photo as the Cambridges: a snapshot from the Queen’s Jubilee a few weeks ago.

The Queen does not wish Meghan Markle her birthday
But on this very special day for Prince Harry and his wife, all eyes were on the Queen… She decided to remain silent and did not wish Meghan Markle her birthday via her social networks. This when she had not failed to do it last year for the 40th birthday of the mother of Archie and Lilibet.
According to the Mirror, the queen would have decided to only wish birthdays ending with a 0. This rule would obviously only be applied to non-working members of the royal family. The others will be entitled to their wishes every year.
A surprising measure to say the least!
