In the DEL, the next team has to be quarantined. After several corona cases with the Omikron variant at ERC Ingolstadt, the club’s next two DEL games are canceled.
Due to quarantine regulations, Ingolstadt will not play for a short time either.
The entire Ingolstadt team as well as the trainer and support team must go into self-isolation by order of the health department. As the Upper Bavaria announced on Thursday, the DEL games scheduled for Friday against Adler Mannheim and the DEL games scheduled for Sunday at Schwenninger Wild Wings cannot take place.
In coordination with the DEL, the ERC wants to “provide timely information” about catch-up dates.
Most recently, the DEL teams from Red Bull Munich and the Iserlohn Roosters, Grizzlys Wolfsburg and Bietigheim Steelers were in quarantine. Well over 30 catch-up games are still pending.
As the DEL also announced on Wednesday, the game between Schwenningen and Augsburg, which has been postponed to February 18, is to be played on this Sunday (January 16, 4.30 p.m.) due to the time that has become free.
