Cordae’s new album is completely star-studded
the rapper Corde, who grew up in Maryland, is aiming to have one of the best hip-hop albums of the first quarter of this year, announcing the tracklist for his upcoming release, From A Bird’s Eye View. Coming more than two years after his Grammy-nominated debut album The Lost Boy, Cordae faces a lot of pressure from the industry to successfully present another body of impactful work. It looks like it can deliver, based on the track list.
The upcoming twelve-song album contains two bonus tracks, featuring guest appearances by Eminem (Remix of “Parables”) and Roddy Ricch (“Gifted”). Other cameos include Gunna, Lil Wayne, HER, Lil Durk and more. On the song “Champagne Glasses”, Cordae collaborates with Nas, Freddie Gibbs and Stevie Wonder for one of the most anticipated sounds on the album.
Also sharing a list of producers, vocalists and songwriters who worked on the album, Cordae highlighted the work of Terrace Martin, Hit-Boy, Taraji P. Henson, Dem Jointz, Hollywood Cole, MixedByAli, Daoud, Boi-1da, and more.
More recently, Cordae released a freestyle to prepare fans for the project, taking inspiration from Kendrick Lamar in “FABEV Freestyle (The Heart Pt 4)”. On the track, he recalls the time he accompanied the late rapper Juice WRLD on tour. Faced with this, a fan asked him on Twitter if he is Juice ever collaborated on a song, and Corde responded that they only have one unreleased song together, for which the duo also recorded a music video.
From A Bird’s Eye View will be released on January 14th. See the full tracklist below:
