Today the certificates of participation were delivered and an agreement was also signed between the Municipality and the Ministry of Security.
In the facilities of the Municipal Theater “Héctor Marinero” the act of delivery of certificates and completion of the first stage of the project “Strengthening Bonds”, which was developed between the Police of the Province of Santa Cruz and the Municipality, with the aim of to promote the rapprochement between the personnel who carry out their functions in close contact with the members of this LGTBI + community. The aim is to break socially installed prejudices, generating spaces for reflection and humanization.
This task was carried out through workshops on rights, diversity and equality, which generated spaces for awareness and exchange to work together, unify criteria and establish a harmonious citizen coexistence, without discrimination, peaceful and without stereotypes.
The event was led by the municipal mayor, Pablo Grasso, the head of the Provincial Police, retired General Commissioner, José Luis Cortés, the Minister of Security of the province of Santa Cruz, Lisandro de la Torre and the Municipal Secretary for Children, Adolescents and Family, Julia Chalub. Also accompanied by members of the municipal cabinet, city councilors, chiefs of the police force and special guests.
In the first place, an institutional video was shown with details of the program, after which an agreement document was signed between the Municipality and the Police to advance in the field of training. Subsequently, the certificates were formally delivered to the heads and personnel of the Force who carried out the workshops.
On the occasion, councilors Wilson Flores and Leonardo Fhur handed over to the authorities a copy of Resolution 436/2021 where the training “Strengthening Bonds” is declared of Municipal Interest. Subsequently, the head of the Gender Policies area of the Commune, Delfina Brizuela and Professor Fernando Bermúdez presented Minister De La Torre and the communal chief Pablo Grasso with protocol flags of Diversity. The occasion was also propitious to highlight the work of the head of the Gender Department of the Provincial Police, Gabriela Rodríguez, on the fourth anniversary of the creation of that area within the institution.
