The company Cars announced this Monday the summons to an extraordinary meeting of shareholders, to propose the modification of the name of the company and add the acronym ECSAto be used as a fancy name for advertising cases.

“Incorporate the acronym ‘ECSA’ as a fancy name of the Company to be used for advertising, propaganda or banking purposes”, points out the first point of the summons to the shareholders’ meeting, in a document presented to the Financial Market Commission (CMF).

This appointment – scheduled for September 29 – occurs in the midst of the controversy that the company starred in with the television channel La Red, which accused Carozzi of withdrawing advertisements because the television station decided to broadcast the documentary “The battle of Chile” .

For its part, Carozzi issued a press release stating that the Initiative advertising agency, which did not respect the company’s guidelines not to advertise political programs.

“In this particular case we are faced with a mistake made by the external agency to our media, Initiative, which did not respect our guidelines previously known to them, a fact that we deeply regret ”, they sentenced, without giving details of said “error.”
