Aston Martin, the technical “restructuring” continues: taken the aerodynamic head of Mercedes

The technical “restructuring” of the Aston Martin team continues in view of the three-year period 2022-2025. After having guaranteed the “services” of Dan Fallows, aerodynamicist under Red Bull until a few months ago, the team captained by Lawrence Stroll has secured the knowledge of Eric Blandin, currently Mercedes aerodynamic leader.

An important purchase that confirms Stroll’s ambitious plans for the future of the Birtannica team, which, we recall, “enjoys” an excellent working relationship with Mercedes itself. Thanks to this “preferential” channel, launched with the support of Toto Wolff, Blandin will be able to “discount” a reduced gardening period, so as to start working within the Silverstone base as early as the end of the 2022 season.

“We can confirm that Eric Blandin will start working for the Aston Martin team, presumably from next year”, a spokesperson for the team told The-Race.com newspaper. “A collaboration start date has not yet been defined, but the transition from Mercedes to our team will be friendly.”
