Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) finished as leader of the sprint race that defined the starting grid of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix (F1), but will not start from ” pole ” on Sunday at the Autodromo Nacional de Monza. The Dutchman Max Verstappen, from Red Bull, will be the one who starts from the first position, while his partner, the Mexican Sergio ” Checo ” Pérez managed to qualify in the Top-10.
Bottas will start from last place after being sanctioned for changing the engine and other elements of his car, a situation that benefits Verstappen, current leader of the F1 world.
The Mexican ” Checo ” Perez finished in ninth position, registering a time of 1: 20.611, but will start from the eighth due to Bottas’ sanction.
