Winter is ahead in France at the end of November. Météo France is expecting snow this weekend in parts of France.
With temperatures 2 to 4 degrees below normal expected for the season on the weekend of November 27-28, the weekend promises to be cold. Météo France believes that snow could be present, especially Sunday which should be a “very cold day”.
Unaccustomed to snowflakes, Brittany should take advantage of the snow this weekend and wear a nice white coat. There could therefore be some in three departments of the region, in Ille-et-Vilaine, in the north of Finistère and a part of Côtes-d’Armor. In February 2021, Brittany had already had the right to snowflakes.
Snow in the mountains
Unsurprisingly, snow should show up in the mountains to the delight of ski resorts, which are actively preparing for the start of their season after two complicated years. A snow and ice yellow vigilance was launched on Wednesday by Météo France, for the Pyrenees and the Alps.
The Jura and the Vosges will not be outdone either and should experience bad weather from Friday. All of eastern France with the exception of the Mediterranean coast and the North-East will also be subject to snow episodes during the nights from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday.
