RTL + has the German premiere of the three-part UK miniseries “Too Close“Announced for Thursday December 23rd.
In „Too Close“Forensic psychiatrist Emma Robertson (Emily Watson, Chernobyl) is tasked with evaluating the sanity of defendant Connie Mortensen (Denise Gough, soon to star in Andor), which could determine whether she will have to go to jail for the rest of her life. The woman is accused of a heinous crime but does not want to be able to remember anything. A psychological cat-and-mouse game begins in which Connie knows how to exploit Emma’s insecurities and soon there is much more to it than the case and the clarification of the case.
The series is based on a novel by Clara Salaman, who published the book under the pseudonym Natalie Daniels and also wrote the script for the adaptation. Directed by Susan Tully, on the producer side are Letitia Knight as well as Kate Crowe, Emily Watson, Neil Blair, Clara Salaman, Ruth Kenley-Letts and Jenny van der Lande.
