Uber received its operating registration as a Transportation Networks Company before the Subsecretariat of Transportation and Mobility, attached to the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Urban Development and Mobility of the State of Coahuila.
Gretta González, CEO of Uber ridesharing, thanked the state authorities for their openness and willingness to recognize the potential of technology and innovation to catalyze the development of people.

He noted that, for just over five years, Uber began operations in the cities of Torreón, Saltillo, Monclova and Piedras Negras, with the commitment to contribute to the economic development of the state through innovations that strengthen the local mobility ecosystem, to provide Coahuilans with flexible economic opportunities, in addition to offering users reliable and accessible travel experiences just a click away.
“We appreciate the trust of all those who have found in Uber an alternative for self-employment and entrepreneurship, as well as a transfer option. With the registration that we have obtained before the State Subsecretariat of Transportation, we will continue to bet on Coahuila, where throughout these five years, thousands of people have generated profits through the Uber application.
