Two labor migrants were charged with the rape and murder of a 67-year-old pensioner outside Moscow, the Russian Investigation Committee reported this morning.
The body of the victim, with signs of violence, was found yesterday in a forest curtain near the village of Buzhanínovo, northeast of the Russian capital. The operative agents hotly detained two suspects, “citizens of one of the neighboring countries”, who were indicted on the basis of articles 105.1 (murder) and 131.2 (violation) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, says the note of official press.
According to local authorities, they are nationals of Tajikistan, born in 1984 and 1988.
In parallel with the forensic tests and other preliminary procedures, it will be verified whether the accused remained legally in Russia and it will be evaluated whether those responsible for controlling the situation of the migrants have failed to comply with their obligations, by action or omission.
The investigation plans to request preventive detention as a precautionary measure.
Shocked by the crime, the residents of Buzhanínovo gathered last night in front of a migrant residence and demanded that the local authorities close it immediately.
