Firefighters from the Kunko Mapu Brigade rescued a woman who fell into a ravine after herding her animals in San Juan de la Costa. Due to the fall, she suffered a fracture and was transferred to the Osorno hospital.

In the midst of complex maneuvers, volunteers from the Kunko Mapu Brigade Firefighters in San Juan de la Costa -Los Lagos region- He managed to rescue a woman who fell into a stream while herding her cattle.

The event occurred in the town “Ampemo”, where the cries of the injured woman alerted neighbors, initiating an operation that included the concurrence of police and an ambulance from the hospital in the sector.

Yonathan Catalán, director of the Kunko Mapu Volunteer Brigade of San Juan de la Costa, gave an account of the circumstances of the accident: the woman suffered a fracture and was unable to move.


After several maneuvering works, the injured woman was transferred to the Base Hospital in Osorno for more careful attention given the accident she suffered in a wooded area.
