The Argentine satellite General San Martín, created by a group of students from a school in Mar del Plata, was launched this Thursday at noon from the Space X station in Cape Canaveral.

It is the first national experience in this type of cubic-shaped satellites, used as a means of experimentation in different aerospace areas and which are small in size and weight. The device measures 10x5x5 centimeters and weighs 461 grams.

The start-up Innova Space in the city of Mar del Plata is in charge of the initiative and its aim is to create a constellation of miniature satellites that will allow connectivity to remote areas of the continent and collaborate with agricultural applications.
