Members of the Argentine Naval Prefecture seized more than 130 kilos of marijuana on the banks of the Paraná River, in two procedures carried out in the provinces of Corrientes and Misiones. The drug is valued at more than 10 million pesos.
On the one hand, in the city of Ita Ibaté in Corrientes, the personnel guarded the river bank at kilometer 1382, in Punta Gallino, when they located, during the early morning, the shipment of drugs hidden among the local weeds.
These are four packages loaded with 108 loaves of marijuana with a market value that exceeds 10 million pesos.
In addition, in Puerto Santa Ana (Misiones), during a patrol carried out at kilometer 1605 of the Paraná River, they found another four packages with more than 50 kilos of marijuana inside.
The drug was seized on the instructions of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of First Instance of Corrientes, in charge of Dr. Flavio Ferrini and of the Federal Prosecutor’s Office No. 1 of Posadas in charge of Jorge Campitelli, who indicated that they left the drug in judicial deposit at the disposal of the intervening magistrate.
