STATE OF MEXICO.-A judge of the Cuautitlán Judicial District issued a conviction of 70 years in prison for Miguel Morales Castaneda, accused of the crime of femicide, since in December 2019 murdered his wife in Edomex.
According to official reports, the crime occurred on December 1, 2019, the day the victim was in the company of the now sentenced person and his children, inside a building located in the Urbi Villa subdivision del Rey, in the municipality of Huehuetoca.
At some point, Morales Castañeda started hitting his wife and later attacked her with a sharp object, causing death from a lung and liver laceration.
He was admitted to the Cuautitlán Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center
The prosecution integrated the respective research folder for this femicide and later the probable participant was arrested, who was admitted to the Cuautitlán Penitentiary and Social Reintegration Center.
With the evidence collected and provided by the Agent of the Public Ministry of the Specialized Prosecutor for Femicide of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico, a judge issued the aforementioned sentence.
Likewise, it set fines of 422 thousand 450 pesos and 185 thousand 039 pesos as repair of the damage.
