More than 1,000 million pesos in sales are expected to reach established merchants in La Laguna with this year’s edition of the Good end, which will last for a week, from November 10 to 16.
Mariano Serna Muñoz, president of the National Chamber of Commerce (Canaco), said that, Last year, sales of more than 239,000 million pesos were reached., at the national level, so this year the goal is to exceed this figure. However, he recalled that in 2020 there were 15 days of Good End due to the sanitary conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, which he considered have changed today, so it was determined that it will be only one week in this edition.
He indicated that the trade of products in electronic form has been widely disseminated and has been privileged, so it is expected that each year it will be greater, since over 80 percent of online sales have grown after the contingency, to the extent that a few days ago the strengthening of the Cyber Police was requested to protect operations in this regard.
“This form of commerce is growing, before only 30 percent of companies sold electronically but now there are more than 60 percent who have been adding to this way of marketing their products, now with the Good End, we expect a very important flow of sales, and supply of goods and services, in this way “, he commented.
The leader of the Canaco said that, in 2020, more than 109,000 businesses participated nationwide, so that this year they are expected to be more than 150,000. In Torreón, he said that 2,239 businesses that joined this campaign were registered, but this time it is estimated that this figure could even double.
Serna Muñoz recalled that recently a specific case of a business that made an online transaction was presented and the customer later canceled the purchase at the bank, but when he had already received the merchandise, so the business was left without the product and without the pay. He indicated that a record was drawn up before the State Attorney General’s Office and they will shortly have a talk with the head of this agency.
He considered that the closing of the year has been very positive due to the orderly way in which the different lines of business in the state were opened, which has allowed economic activity to resume very soon. He was confident that the 2019 sales levels could be achieved. He noted that more than 1,700 stores closed but most have reopened.
