The trailer for The Grand Tour 100% French cars!

Older, but not necessarily wiser, the “guys” are back! And our favorite trio is closely interested … in the French automobile! In this episode called “Carnage à Trois”, Clarkson, May and Hammond set off to discover certain French cars, sometimes known to be among the most bizarre in the industry.

With hints of Top Gear, the trailer begins with a “flying” Citroën C3 Pluriel and includes a lot of destruction and mess, ranging from dropping a 2CV to mistreating a poor Renault Scénic.

Whether it’s throwing a Citroën Berlingo off the top of a cliff or racing with “bombinettes”, Renault Mégane RS, Peugeot 306 16S and other Clio RS, “Carnage à Trois” seems to focus more on cars than any other special from The Grand Tour. For those wondering what kind of craft appears at 0:28, the bizarre car with a large propeller is the obscure Leyat Helica, aka “the wingless plane.”

The trailer gives us also gives us to see a beautiful Citroën SM, which is hands down one of the most interesting cars the double chevron brand has ever made. For some reason still unknown, it seems that Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond are blowing up a BMW 5 Series Touring from the E61 generation. It’s obviously not a French car, so we can’t wait to find out the why and how.

On the other hand, it would seem that the episode was shot in England and not in France, probably for reasons of the epidemic.

“The Grand Tour Presents: Carnage À Trois” will be available on Amazon Prime on December 17th.
