Presented at the end of the month, the restyled Renault Kwid appears before its time in Brazil. The city car confirms its look inspired by the Kwid sold in India, which features a set of split front lights and a significantly more refined interior than the model currently on the market.
Photos were kindly provided by AutoINBrasil. The car identified is in version Outsider ; the most expensive currently in the Kwid range. Painted in a beautiful shade of blue, the body is distinguished at the front by split headlights, where the upper part consists of LED daytime running lights. The most interesting thing is that the grille brings a net that gives continuity to the lights.
Along with the big change to the optics, the front bumper also received some retouching, such as the plastic parts just below the main headlights that simulate an air intake.
In profile, the most notable change concerns the 14″ rims. The Outsider lettering is enriched with the letter “R” in green, while the mirrors retain the current pattern with the covers painted in glossy black.
In the photos of this Kwid Outsider spotted in Brazil, it is possible to see that the central screen is larger and that it has only one button for the volume. The focus is on the new, partially digital dashboard, with the on-board computer and analog instruments right next to it.
The Kwid will go up a notch by receiving the 1.0 SCe engine from the Sandero, as discovered by Quatro Rodas magazine. This model will have 82 hp and a more suitable torque.

Along with more power and torque, the new Kwid will also benefit from a longer ratio gearbox, which will promote consumption reduction. Things like stability and traction controls should also be standard.
