When the national team is on the road and the squad that has stayed behind in Munich is reduced to a minimum, players like Marc Roca and Michael Cuisance come to the fore in the training sessions: However, they don’t have a real perspective at Bayern.

The returning national players still have a day off on Wednesday, Alphonso Davies is the last star in action and he will play a World Cup qualifier with Canada on Thursday night. If Davies survives his business trip unharmed, coach Julian Nagelsmann will face a luxury situation. With the exception of Benjamin Pavard, who was once again suspended, and substitute goalkeeper Sven Ulreich (rehab), all players are available to him. Also Kingsley Coman and Corentin Tolisso, who returned to team training during the international game phase in Munich.
This means that not all players have a place in the 20-man matchday squad. The first candidates to be deleted were Marco Roca and Michael Cuisance, whose prospects are unlikely to have improved in the past two weeks. Cuisance returned from his one-year unsuccessful loan to Olympique Marseille in the summer, a new club was not found for the French (contract until 2024). The midfielder already has his future at Bayern behind him, and the next attempt at a change will start in winter.
The Roca personality is to be viewed in a somewhat more differentiated manner. The Spaniard wanted to make a new attempt under Nagelsmann in the summer, but then missed the entire preparation with an injury. Now he has to line up in midfield behind Kimmich, Goretzka, Sabitzer and Tolisso. It remains difficult for him too, despite his fine technique, positional play and quick action are considered to be in need of improvement.
It doesn’t look much better for Omar Richards and Bouna Sarr. Richards came on a free transfer from the English second division FC Reading in the summer and has adjustment problems in the defensive game. In the back left he is not the first alternative to Alphonso Davies as intended, Nagelsmann then rather relocates Lucas Hernandez or prefers Josip Stanisic. The Croat is also on the right in front of Bouna Sarr, who is returning to Munich with the wind of his first two international matches for Senegal. Sarr gets short assignments every now and then and thus more than Roca and Cuisance. However, despite the contract, he does not have any real prospects until 2024.
