The Chilean Javiera Mena, icon of queer electro pop, arrives in Rosario

After almost two years without carrying out a face-to-face show in Latin America, the famous Chilean singer and icon of queer electro pop Javiera Mena, will perform in Rosario this Saturday, as part of her tour of Argentina. After the release of his latest album I. Enthusiasm and the single “Culpa”, the artist will tour the cities of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Rosario and Córdoba with a show that is announced as full of energy, emotions and new music.

In the show, totally renewed, Javiera will alternate intimate moments with other festivals to sing the sensual “Astral Heart”, the bohemian “Diva”, as well as the ballads “Pasión AKA ilusión” and “Dos”, among other singles. In addition, he will review hits from his four studio albums released to date: “Esquemas juveniles”, “Espejo”, “Otra era” and the classic “Mena”.

It should be noted that Javiera Mena, currently considered an icon of queer electro pop, nominated for a Latin Grammy, became the voice of the feminist and LGTBIQ + movements in Latin America. Its growth and recognition is reflected in the six studio albums made to date, considered by the press and by specialists as essential jewels of electro pop. During 2020 and early 2021 he has released his EP I. Enthusiasm, which features songs like “Flashback”, “Corazón Astral” and “Diva ft. White guy”. Thanks to the great repercussion of this first EP, Javiera released the Deluxe version of it with stellar collaborations from the Chilean producer Vladi Cachai and the Argentine singer Zoe Gotusso.

That trip in search of consolidating his own identity allowed Javiera to take his message around the world to countries such as Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and the United States, where he has cultivated loyal audiences thanks to his music. Evidence of this are the multiple festivals in which he has participated such as Coachella (2019), Primavera Sound Barcelona (2018, 2012) or Lollapalooza Chile (2016); and the collaborations that he achieved from the hand of great artists such as Julieta Venegas, Miranda, Esteman, among others.
