The Bel 20 ended the week in the red

After temporarily returning to the green at midday, the Bel 20 index had to opt for the decline until it confirmed a drop of 0.26% to 4,245.85 points. Nine of its items were negative, Ackermans (177.00) and Ageas (49.00) being stationary. Melexis (100.70) lost 5.00% after its 4.02% jump the day before, Galapagos (47.78) rebounding against 3.42% while Solvay (105.70) and UCB (88, 52) fell by 0.56% and 1.43%, arGEN-X (249.50) by 1.89%. KBC (82.92) yielded 0.22% while AB InBev (58.98) retained a further advance of 1.87%. Proximus (17.76) and Telenet (34.14) were worth 0.77% and 1.73% more than the day before, Orange Belgium (19.90) also gaining 2.58% while Bpost (7.52 ) yielded 0.79%. Aperam (55.12) was down 0.68% and Umicore (33.78) 0.18% up, GBL (97.52) and Sofina (386.00) dropping 1.02% and 1.53%.

Deceuninck (3.60) lost 2.4% while Recticel (18.36) and Ontex (7.53) rose 1.6% and 2.2%. Van de Velde (35.00) jumped 4.2% while Bekaert (44.42) and CFE (128.80) were down 1.9% and 1.5%, Roularta (18.50) by 2, 4%. Mithra (21.60) still jumped 7.2% while Biocartis (3.38) and Acacia Pharma (1.47) dropped 4.2% and 2.9%, Sequana Medical (7.00) having it- even veered down 2.8%.

Around 4:30 p.m., the euro traded at 1.1429 USD, against 1.1458 in the morning and 1.1457 the day before. The ounce of gold gained 5.10 dollars to 1,822.10 dollars and the ingot traded around 51,255 euros, up 265 euros.
