The competitor Hassia will also make “adjustments to the sales prices” in the new year, as Marketing Director Stefan Müller confirmed to the LZ. This affects brands of the group such as Rosbacher, Lichtenauer and Elisabethen as well as the soft drinks from Bionade.
After the first price increases this year, Danone will also raise prices again on January 1, although the adjustments have already had serious consequences. Until September, the Volvic brand suffered heavy losses in terms of sales and turnover, but since then the figures have recovered.
Unlike Danone, many German wells are still reluctant to raise prices because of fears of a loss in sales. In view of the constantly rising production and raw material prices, the adjustments can probably no longer be avoided for much longer.
