The Argentine company Free market announced that it will once again sponsor the Entropy program of the Regional Faculty of Buenos Aires of the National Technological University (UTNBA) with the goal of train many future professionals in technological areas.
The reason behind the program is to be able to occupy the almost 5,000 vacancies that currently exist for this type of work and that, according to data from the Chamber of the Argentine Software Industry, will rise to 15,000 in the coming years.
The goal of this program is to train young people seeking to start careers in Engineering or related fields in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) knowledge and skills.
How will the program
The program allows you to accompany young people and improve their knowledge in certain subjects
The initiative will be carried out in conjunction with a institutional project teacher training, which they will reach 800 students from schools in La Matanza with the contents of Entropy.
On the other hand, it will continue with its traditional format that reaches 400 students pre-university students from the Tres de Febrero party and another 400 from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
“In the year 2021, the first Engineers of the first edition of Entropía (2014) were received”, indicates Jorge Almiña, Director of Entropía. And he continues: “This Program that allows us to accompany young people to improve their knowledge in core subjects such as math and physics Its objective is not only that young people can enter Engineering careers but also that they can reinforce key skills to get closer to the knowledge industry and at the end of the day to be able to function better in the world of work”.
What is the program like and how long does it last?
The program It lasts one year and offers active training opportunities. All of them are designed so that young people acquire the basic knowledge necessary to enter an engineering career.
Thus, students who pass the program have the possibility of start the course of any engineering career at the UTN without taking the entrance exam.
