Tachie: "We are very much looking forward to the game"

Borussia Dortmund II said goodbye to the international break with a win. The team of coach Enrico Maaßen wants to build on the performance in the 2-0 win against Würzburg at Eintracht Braunschweig next weekend.

In the international break, BVB II said goodbye with a 2-0 win against the Würzburger Kickers and not only found the right answer to the previous defeat at Türkgücü Munich (1: 2), but also took second place in the table. “We missed a few things against Türkgücü, for the first time this season,” said Maaßen at “MagentaSport”. “That was much, much better today.”

With a correspondingly good feeling, the U23 went into the two-week break, which Maaßen and his team also used for a test match. In the case of Belgian league leaders KAS Eupen, who were coached by former third division coach Stefan Krämer, BVB suffered a 3-0 defeat. Maaßen gave some of the actors from the second row the chance to prove themselves.

Haymenn Bah-Traore was not there. The 24-year-old – only played five times this season after several previous injuries – was seconded to the senior national team of Togo. In the World Cup qualifiers, however, the defensive player was not used.

Bah-Traore should be back in time for the upcoming competitive game at Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday (2 p.m., LIVE! At kicker). There the Borussia expect “a great backdrop”, emphasized regular Richmond Tachie in an interview with “dfb.de”. “That’s why we’re really looking forward to the game.” The offensive man (three goals, three assists) who was set up in every game this season wants to tackle the challenge with a lot of self-confidence and tactical flexibility: “We are robust enough to fight against top teams like Eintracht Braunschweig and to win the second balls. ”
