At a press conference the details of the competition that will mark the return of the summer football to the province after two years of inactivity. The Salta Summer Quadrangular 2022 will have the participation of North Central, Gimnasia y Tiro, Chaco For Ever and San Martín de Tucumán.
Matches will start next January 22 at Padre Ernesto Martearena Stadium when they meet San Martín (T) and Gymnastics and Shooting. The details of the competition were presented by the Minister of Tourism and Sports Mario Pena and the Secretary of Sports Sergio Chiban.
The provincial officials were accompanied by the president of the Gymnastics and Shooting Football Commission Sergio Plaza and the first vice president of Central Norte Leandro Etchezar. Those who agreed on the importance of these tournaments for local football and highlighted the high football level that will offer the home run.
Saturday 22/1: 21:30 – San Martín (T) vs Gymnastics and Shooting
Tuesday 25/01: 21:30 – San Martín (T) vs Chaco For Ever
Sunday 30/01: 19:00 – North Central vs Chaco For Ever
Tuesday 8/2: 21:30 – Central North vs Gymnastics and Shooting.
“I want to thank the clubs for the joint work that we have carried out to achieve the realization of this home run that returns summer football to the people of Salta. We are going through difficult times, however, thanks to the support of the governor Gustavo Saenz and the entire Secretariat team continue to plan and move forward with Actions that strengthen sport and football in Salta”, Minister Peña pointed out.
And he added that the team from the Sports Secretariat works together with the technicians Ministry of Health in the analysis of sanitary measures, gauging and control systems necessary so that the sports activity of the province continues and is strengthened under the premise of “Take care of the health and work of the people of Salta”.
For his part, the sports secretary, Sergio Chiban, stressed that with this decision the province resumes the development of a project that has been a pioneer in the country, such as the summer tournaments in the interior.
“Carrying out this tournament is possible thanks to Governor Sáenz’s vision of promoting the development of sport and the support of the institutions with which we have worked so that the people of Salta can once again enjoy a summer tournament,” he stressed.
As for the tickets the officials informed that they will have a cost of $500 for the popular ones, $750 for the preferential ones and $1,000 for the stalls. They can be purchased at Ticket offices at the Martearena stadium and at the Central Norte and Gimnasia y Tiro stadiums in the case of the matches that the representatives from Salta will play.
