Star Trek – Discovery: Season 4 starts on Pluto TV instead of Netflix

Not as usual on Netflix, but on the much lesser known, linear online channel Pluto TV, the fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery starts today as a German premiere. It starts with the first two episodes of the season in a double pack.

Today, Friday, November 26th, the fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery starts as a German premiere on the linear online channel Pluto TV. At 9 p.m., the first two episodes will initially run on the Sci-Fi channel of the free service, which can be accessed via the browser, apps and smart TVs. Then it continues with a new episode every week. ViacomCBS is thus meeting the great demand from fans, because the new season was originally supposed to start with the local launch of Paramount + next year in Germany.

In general, Pluto TV only shows German dubbed versions without the possibility of original sound. As a VoD option, only the first five episodes of the first “Discovery“Season ready for retrieval. The season four episodes from Friday will be repeated at the same time at 9 p.m. on the following Saturday and Sunday.

So it goes on: Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and the crew of the USS Discovery get it in the fourth season with a threat that they did not know before. Can she and multiple worlds work together to save billions of lives?

In addition to Martin-Green, the ensemble also includes Doug Jones (Saru), Anthony Rapp (Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), David Ajala (Cleveland “Book“Booker), Blu del Barrio (Adira) and recurring guest star Ian Alexander (Gray).
