As reported by the Moroccan Football Association FRMF, the National Referee Directorate Bouchra Karboubi has commissioned the management of the cup final between FAR Rabat and Moghreb Tetouan on Saturday in Agadir. According to the Moroccan association, this will be a first in the Arab world.
With Fatiha Jermoumi, a woman on the sidelines will also act as an assistant. Second assistant is Mustapha Akerdad, Reddad Daki will be the fourth official.
Karboubi has been a professional referee since 2016, becoming the first woman to referee a game in Morocco’s elite class. She has also often been deployed internationally, most recently this February as a video referee in the final of the Africa Cup between Senegal and Egypt (4:2 iE).
