Brazilian Pedro Figueiredo finished sixth in the under-23 endurance race of the Pan American Road Cycling Championship, held in San Juan, Argentina. Victor Cesar de Paula and Ewerton Santana finished 11th and 21st respectively, also part of the pack that lost in the final sprint. Colombian Nicolas Gomez was the winner.

Gomez completed the 143km course in 3h21min55s, winning gold in the final sprint. A platoon of 20 other athletes accompanied him to the end of the dispute, including three Brazilians. One of them, Victor Cesar de Paula, even led the dispute in the final third, but was caught up and lost some positions at the end, ending up outside the top-10.

Panamanian Bredio Ruiz took silver, followed by Chilean Vicente Rojas. Also Colombian Andres Ospina and Bolivian Jose Aramayo completed the top-5. Two other Brazilians participated in the dispute, which had 56 athletes. Marcco Levy Nascimento was in 30th place, 32 seconds ahead of the winner, while Augusto Gonzeli finished in 34th, 1min10s behind the leaders.
