Mané had to answer numerous questions at his presentation in the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, and as expected, there was great interest in the well-known newcomer from Liverpool. While the 30-year-old was willing to provide information about his move, his past and his ideas, he remained reluctant when asked: In which position does the Senegalese, who played centrally and on the wings in Liverpool, see himself in the record champions’ shirt in the future?
“I think the coach should answer that question,” said Mané with a smile, pointing to the rows of seats in front of the press podium where Julian Nagelsmann had sat as a listener. “I’m a player who can play in three or four positions. And I think I’m comfortable everywhere.”

The competition is on,” emphasized sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic on Wednesday.
Mané then made a small restriction with regard to his future position. Addressing Nagelsmann, he said: “I’ll be happy if he doesn’t put me in goal or in defence.”
