It was “obvious that he had to go out” in solidarity with the Ukrainian people; the question was “how?” he says. There was the fear of a closing of the borders, he elaborated his “escape route”: he booked a first flight from Moscow to Istanbul and from there he flew to Milan, before traveling to Brazil.

A native of Cabo Frio, north of Rio de Janeiro, Motta discovered her passion for ballet at an early age and, after an international competition in New York, won a scholarship to the Bolshoi Academy. At the age of 12, she traded the beaches for the cold of the Russian capital. “I went alone. I remember every moment: my arrival at the boarding school, it was winter, it was all white, ”she recalled.

“Ballet is everything to me. It’s the air I breathe. I go to bed and wake up thinking about the ballet”, he confessed, excited that performing in Brazil allowed him to perform before his parents. “Being able to show you the fruits of my labor is priceless,” he concluded.
