Greifswalder FC continues to work on its regional league squad for the new season. With Guido Kocer, the Oberliga champions have once again strengthened their attack. The native of Worms, who mostly comes on the left offensive side, made 85 appearances for Erzgebirge Aue and Hansa Rostock in the 2nd Bundesliga, scoring nine goals himself and preparing twelve more.
In 2014, the attacker moved to Turkey, where he has been chasing goals in leagues 1 and 2 to date. After eight years, the 33-year-old left-footed player is now returning to Germany, where he is looking forward to his new role in Greifswald. “I was presented with a project that I can fully identify with. Something can really develop here, it really appeals to me, I’m really up for it,” says Kocer. Next: “We have the same goal and that’s why it just fit.”

“Guido is an experienced player with a lot of quality in attacking midfield,” said Dave Wagner, sporting director. “In addition, he will do our team a lot of good as a guy. It’s cool that he has decided to go our way together.”
Kocer now wants to pass on this experience, which he has gained over many years in the professional business, to the young players. “I want to be a role model, take them by the hand and lead the team a bit. And of course I want to prove it to myself again next season.”
