Faces of Football: Ghana – A letter to the national team

Dear Ghanaian National,

First of all I want to express all my joy for this new qualification for the World Cup, I congratulate you all for having achieved such a goal. I can only tell you ‘ayekoo’ (well done).

As an ambitious and optimistic Ghanaian fan I think you can go far in the competition, I think you can get through the group stage and even be the first African team to reach a World Cup semi-final.

Having followed you during the qualifying matches, as well as obviously during the previous World Cups, I am sincerely convinced that you are capable of making history this winter and of demonstrating how Ghana is the best football reality in Africa.

I wish the CT and his staff the best in working with the group, I hope you make the best tactical decisions to help the team go far. I hope the players give everything to achieve historic results for the nation.

Everyone in Ghana will support and follow you in every outing, we hope we can motivate you and push you towards success. Winning a World Cup would be every Ghanaian’s dream, to prove to the world what a great nation we are. I truly believe that you are a team capable of making us dream.

I wish you all the best for the World Cup!

Come on Black Stars!
