Governor Jorge Capitanich presented this Friday the 51st National Athletics Championship U 20 to be held this weekend, at the facilities of the Jaime Zapata de Resistencia Sports Center. The tournament is organized between the Chaco Sports Institute, the Argentine Athletics Confederation (CADA) and the Chaco Athletics Federation.
612 athletes from 18 provinces will participate in the contest and the most important thing is that it will be evaluative for the Pan American U20 that will be held in October in Chile. For this reason, during the days of this weekend, the director of South American Athletics Development, Juan Alberto Scarpín, several presidents of the different national federations and 10 judges from CADA will be present.
“It will be a very important meeting to show the baggage and potential of a generation of athletes in the province, and in turn the facilities of this sports complex, because it ensures a platform for the organization of this type of events and especially for our athletes ”, Highlighted the governor.
The provincial government executes an investment plan in sports infrastructure exceeding 4 billion pesos until 2023. “The province has a Sports Institute, the active participation of sports institutions, we guarantee the strengthening of the institutional capacities of the clubs , we have a sponsorship model and we have a system for the provision of sports elements by Lotería Chaqueña ”, highlighted Capitanich:
